Commodore Mohammad Habib Ul Alam

Purpose of the post
Appointed by the Board as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Manages the company subject to the control and supervision of the Board, and attends Board meetings without a voting right.
Key responsibilities
- 01Manage all concerns and affairs of the company, and exercise general control over its employees and agentsArt. 65
- 02Borrow or raise money, and mortgage or hypothecate on such securities and terms as the Board approvesArt. 66
- 03Purchase, acquire, sell or otherwise dispose of company property, subject to the approval of the BoardArt. 68, 70
- 04Establish branch offices, agencies and sub-agents in Bangladesh or elsewhere on Board-approved termsArt. 69
- 05Sign and execute deeds, mortgages and charges, and conduct or defend the company’s legal proceedingsArt. 71–73

Holds the statutory and commercial administration of the company, with its procurement and supply chain across the government and private sectors.
