Alongside its partners, NKFTCL works across consultancy, dredging, reclamation, earthwork, trading and construction. This spans RCC construction, river training, electromechanical systems, prefabricated steel buildings, structural design, and turn-key interior fit-out.
Survey, sounding and charting
Led by an IHO Category A certified hydrographer, NKFTCL runs bathymetric survey from acquisition through tidal reduction to finished charts.

Acquisition
A shallow-draught 2 m catamaran country boat works parallel transects close inshore, to the high water spring tide mark. Transducer draught is measured and logged daily.
Coverage check
Data is reviewed on board between transects. Gaps near the shoreline and in strong tidal flow are filled with additional lines before the vessel stands down.
Tidal reduction
Soundings are reduced to Chart Datum against a Bangladesh Navy automatic tide gauge logging at 10-minute intervals. For Inani, that is the gauge at the naval jetty beside the survey area.
Cleaning & charting
Anomalies are identified on depth-against-time plots and removed, then the cleaned set is interpolated in GIS to produce depth contours, sounding plots and the fair sheets.

Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler
The ADCP transmits pings of sound at a constant frequency into the water column. The pings scatter off particles carried in the moving water and return to the instrument; the Doppler shift on the returns resolves current speed and direction through the profile.
